Winter in Arinsal Andorra
The winter season in Arinsal runs from mid December to early April with the main activity Skiing and Snowboarding in the Vallnord Ski Area. Inghams offers great Andorra ski holidays for the whole family.
Vallnord Ski Area
The Vallnord ski area encompasses the three resorts of Arinsal, Pal and arcalis. Arinsal and Pal are linked by both bus and cable car while arcalis can only be reached by bus. There is also a free ski shuttle that links the hotels in Arinsal and Erts with the main gondola based in the center of the village. For those staying at the top of Arinsal village there is a chairlift that runs up to the resort.
Arinsal has good facilities for beginners with excellent tuition from english speaking instructors. The three sectors of the vallnord ski area cover a wide range of terrain types and gradients. There are also a couple of well maintained snow parks one at Arinsal and the other at Arcalis. The Vallnord lift pass covers all three areas and can be purchased either through your travel agent or at the resort direct from Vallnord.
Other Winter Activities
While Arinsal is mainly a ski resort during the winter time, there are a few other activities that are worth checking out during your stay. These are helicopter rides, snow shoeing, duty free shopping in Andorra La Velle and snowmobile tours. Your travel agent will be able to provide you with more information on the activities that they have on offer. If you do not have a representative with your holiday or you have booked independently speak to your hotel reception they will point you in the right direction.
